Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Coimbra, Portugal and Member of the Board of IUS Gentium Conimbrigae (IGC) and Instituto Jurídico da Comunicação (IJC) (both are Institute affiliated in the Faculty of Law; the first is a Human Rights Centre and the second deals with communication themes)

Former activities: trainee on the Economic and Social Committee of the European Union, Brussels (1996); Member of Office of the Secretary of State of the Portuguese Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lisbon (1998/99); Portuguese Data Protection Commission, Lisbon (1999/2001); United Nations Committee for the Peaceful Use of Outer Space (2003/2015)

Academic degrees: Law degree in 1995; Master in Legal and Political Sciences (in Outer Space Law) in 2003; Doctor in Legal and Political Studies (in Constitutional Law) in 2011 (all the degrees were issued by the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra, Portugal)

Pedagogical activities: Professor in the areas of Constitutional Law and Public International Law in Graduate, Master and PhD Courses. Collaboration in several Postgraduate/Summer Courses, namely in the areas of law making, citizenship in the cosmopolitan Era, corruption, human rights and global constitutionalism (both in Portuguese and English; in Portugal and Brazil); orientation and jury member of Master and PhD thesis
