University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE) hosted GDHRNet group meetings and an international seminar on 22 – 24 April 2024.
The Core Group discussed progress and remaining steps in achieving Action objectives in the final months of the project. Group meetings were dedicated to discussion of specific outcomes of ongoing research and publishing activities. Doctoral students’ presentation of a comparative report on national implementation of the Digital Single Act was followed by a discussion with senior members of the GDHRNet.
The seminar was dedicated to the topic of digital rights and democracy. The final speech discussed democratic transition of Portugal 50 years ago and current challenges to democracy arising in digitalized societies.
